Pastor Led Bible Study

“Book of Faith:  Open Scripture, Join the Conversation” King of Glory, along with the whole ELCA, has made a commitment to encourage all, from children to adults, to dig deeper into our book of faith, the Bible – to open Scripture and join the conversation.  The whole church is invited to become more fluent in the first language of faith, the language of Scripture, in order that we might live into our calling as people renewed, enlivened, empowered, and sent by the word.  Pastor Susan leads the following study groups:

Thursday mornings 9:30 – 10:30 a.m.   Beginning in January we will be studying two New Testament letters – Philippians and James.  Study books are available at a cost of $5.00 but are not necessary for people to participate.  People are welcome to join at anytime.

Third Thursday evenings of the month at 7:00 p.m.  We  will be doing a new Bible study called “The Greatest Story.”  The Greatest Story covers the entire Bible from Genesis to Revelation as it introduces key people, places and events.  Participants will be invited to explore how the fit in the greatest story and how the greatest story fits into their lives.  If you would like to purchase a participant book at a cost of $15 (you can still participate even if you don’t purchase a book) please contact the church office.  We will begin by meeting monthly on the 3rd Thursday of each month.

Spiritual Practices – 4th Sunday from 11:30 – 1:00 p.m. You are invited to bring your own sack lunch.  Each month we will explore and discuss different spiritual practices and how we might use or “practice” them in our own lives.  Some of the practices we will explore are discernment, hospitality, keeping the Sabbath, and forgiveness.
