King of Glory
...A place to grow
Pastor led Bible studies resume September 6
"Book of Faith: Open Scripture, Join the Conversation" King of Glory, along with the whole ELCA, has made a commitment to encourage all, from children to adults, to dig deeper into our book of faith, the Bible – to open Scripture and join the conversation. The whole church is invited to become more fluent in the first language of faith, the language of Scripture, in order that we might live into our calling as people renewed, enlivened, empowered, and sent by the word.
Pastor Susan leads the following study groups: Thursday mornings 9:30 – 10:30 a.m. Beginning September 6 Pastor Susan will lead a Bible study on prayer. By exploring the stories of prayer in the Bible, the hope is that we can strengthen our own prayer lives. People are welcome to join the study at any time. We meet in the fellowship room.
Luther's Small Catechism is the topic of a four week study beginning Thursday, September 20 at 7:00 p.m. We will talk about what the 10 Commandments, the Apostles' Creed, the Lord's Prayer and the Sacraments mean from a Lutheran perspective. This is a great class for those who are interested in learning more about the Lutheran church and its theology.
